This means our surgery is specially trained and committed to understanding and supporting the health needs of military veterans. We recognise the unique experiences of those who have served and aim to provide personalised, appropriate, and respectful care.

Who Is a Veteran?
A veteran is anyone who has served for at least one day in the UK Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve. If this applies to you, please let us know so we can ensure you receive the right support.
Why Tell Us You’re a Veteran?
By identifying yourself as a veteran, you enable us to record your veteran status, consider how your service may impact your health, offer access to specialist NHS services, provide priority care for service-related conditions, and direct you to trusted charities and support organisations.
Priority Care for Service-Related Conditions
Veterans may receive priority treatment for health problems that are believed to be related to their military service, based on clinical need.
Specialist NHS Services for Veterans
- Op COURAGE – Mental health and wellbeing support for veterans and families.
- Op RESTORE – Specialist physical health and rehabilitation service.
- Op NOVA – Support for veterans involved in the justice system.

How to Let Us Know You’re a Veteran
Please inform a member of the reception or clinical team at any time. We will update your records so you can receive veteran-specific support.

As a Veteran Friendly Accredited Practice, we have specific staff that are trained to support and can provide signposting, we maintain a veteran register and regularly review our approach.
